Samsung has released a new update for the Galaxy Wearable app for Galaxy smartphones. Carrying version 2.2.17.26020951, it brings four changes. You can check out the official changelog in the image below.
According to multiple users, the update brings a new user interface to the section from which you check for new updates for Galaxy wearables. As you can see in the image below, it looks similar to the software update screen that One UI 8.5 brings. When Samsung says “Applied One UI 8.5 UX,” we assume that this is what it means.
Next, it enhances the security related to Smart Switch. Third, it brings support for Samsung’s upcoming flagship truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the Galaxy Buds 4 and the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. This is another confirmation from the brand about the existence of these earbuds. It also suggests that the brand may launch these products at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled for 25 February 2026, alongside the Galaxy S26 series.
Fourth, it removes the support for Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e. To get the latest Galaxy Wearable update, open the Galaxy Store, tap on the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen, select Updates, and tap on the Update all button. From what we could gather, Samsung is rolling out the update to devices running on the beta version of One UI 8.5, which, at the moment, are Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
